Organic Cotton

Organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that reduce negative impact on the environment without toxic pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, improving soil health and protecting biodiversity. But aside from the environmental benefits of organically grown cotton, the absence of hazardous chemicals also helps to improve the work environment of the local farmer.

Process:

Initially the organic cotton is grown by farmers according to organic standards

After harvest it's processed at a gin to separate the fibre from the seeds and pressed into bales

These bales are sold to spinners certified to organic standards, who spin the cotton into yarn

The yarn is then sold to fabric mills or manufacturers, who track the organic cotton throughout the supply chain to ensure its integrity
